400th Anniversary Commemorative Silver Proof Dollar Coin. The Jamestown 400th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Program included a silver dollar coin and a $5 gold coin. The silver coin was minted in Philadelphia, weighs 26.73 grams and has a diameter of 1.5 inches. The coin is made up of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse side depicts the three cultures that came together at Jamestown and the reverse side shows the three ships that brought the English settlers to Jamestown in 1607. Each coin comes in a blue velvet presentation box enclosed in a blue cardboard box with a certificate of authenticity. The mintage was limited to 500,000 pieces.
