This print is a reproduction of an 1834 steel plate engraving in the intaglio style. The engraving itself is a reproduction of the celebrated painting by I.R. Holland in the early 19th century. The colors of that painting have been carefully placed back into the original engraving. Using very heavy-weight, acid free, 100% cotton weave, the highest degree of quality standards is maintained. This print is matted and fits to an 8 X 10 inch frame. A brief biography of Captain John Smith is included.
