Costume - Mob Cap

A mob cap was a plain white cap with a gathered ruffle.  The caps were usually made of cotton or fine linen and were worn by women and girls in the colonial time period.  Mob caps were worn indoors and outdoors.  It was not considered proper to be seen without a cap.  Caps kept hair protected from dirt and smoke and other daily activities.  Made from 100% cotton.  One size fits most.  Great for costumes and play-acting.
