"Elizabeth Ravens and Bacon's Rebellion"

In Book Two of the Virginia Adventure Series the story of the Raven's family continues.  In this book set in the year 1676, Will Raven's granddaughter is living in Virginia at the time of Bacon's rebellion.  Nathaniel Bacon, a newcomer to Virginia, takes advantage of a period of discontent to try to seize power.  The Indians, pushed back by the settlers, are striking back.  Elizabeth is afraid when her father won't lead an army against the Natives without the Governor's approval.  She wonders why her father can't be more like Nathaniel Bacon who seems unafraid to take matters into his own hands.  Written with Virginia state educational standards in mind.
