"My Lady Pocahontas"

This novel draws on legend and history to tell the story of the life of Pocahontas, the favorite daughter of the poweful chief Powhatan.  Told from the Native American viewpoint the story highlights how difficult it was for the Indians and English to communicate and understand each other.  The ineptitude of the English amaze Pocahontas and her friend Neetah as they spy on the settlers.  Overtime Pocahontas is drawn more and more to the English eventually marrying an Englishman and travelling to England.
