Native American Headdress

This children's headdress is typical of the style that Eastern Woodland Indian chiefs wore. Unlike the flowing headdresses that the Western Plain's Indians wore, these were much simplier. This ones is made of faux bearskin and is decorated with 5 real brown andwhite turkey feathers. An elastic strap keeps the headdress on. Made by the Cherokee Indians on the Qualla Reservation in Cherokee, NC.
