George Washington, the father of our country, exhibited notable manners, throughout his life. At the age of 14, George Washington wrote down 110 rules, under the title, Rules of Civility and Decent Behaviour in Company & Conservation. These rules were drawn from an English translation, of a French book of maxims. Above all, it was intended, through repetition, to bring about perfect self-control. Attractively bound, in red leatherette, with gold-finish engravings, this edition features a frontispiece reproduction, of a steel engraving, of George Washington. 30 pages.
