"Will Ravens at Jamestown Fort"

This is Book One of the Virginia Adventure Series which begins with the story of Jamestown.  Will Ravens is a pickpocket on the streets of London who finds himself on board ship sailing to the New World.  Will strikes up a friendship with another commoner on board named John Smith.  When they land in Virginia, the gentlemen of the settlers try to bring John Smith to a shameful end.  Will learns that in this new land there isn't much difference between gentlemen and commoners - the only ones that will survive are those that work hard.  Written for your students with Virginia state educational standards in mind.
